Makin’ a fence!
Ok, this could seriously beautify uglyfunctional areas of lots of cities; why don’t I see this everywhere?
A fence with similar functions, but with the New England setting dialed up to maximum.
The ideal kind of fence I’d eventually like to have; sturdy enough to keep the dogs in but still allows the passage of light and air; can double as a trellis for flower vines.
DIY card catalog jewelry box! Love it!
I would love this…
lawd this reading nook is perfect.
omg.
Dream pantry? Dream pantry.

12 Utterly Awesome Hidden Beds | Curbly
I don’t know why, but this kind of thing is so cool to me! When it comes to home wares and buildings, I love items/spaces that have multiple purposes, hidden rooms behind fake doors, and things that turn into other things! I’ve always loved caravans for this reason - I remember being so amazed when I realised that in one caravan we used the dining table turned into a bed! This is a super cool round up of hidden beds. I personally wouldn’t have a hidden bed for everyday use but if you’re living in a super small space (dorm rooms, tiny apartments!) and need space these would be perfect - also good for unexpected guests. My favourite is picture 5 & 6 - that bed looks like it might actually be quite comfy!
p.s. if you watch Grand Designs as much as I do, you will recognise the bed over bath picture! That house in itself was an amazing feat of design, especially that sliding roof!

Cat Friendly House Design (Part 2)
Many of us adore our cats; and it looks like the Japanese regard them like children. Some Japanese housing builders have come up with designs with special features for cats. Here are the images from a house called Plus-Nyan house by Asahi Kasei, a leading house builder in Japan. This could be a dream house for every cat owner and their cats, as it would require great deal of research to design these houses keeping in mind the requirements of the clients and their cats. Here are a few key features: open air cat walks, climbing steps, cat doors in every door, deck built in to the window, extra space in the bathroom designed for their compartment, cat room hidden under the stairs, special fencing to prevent cats from getting away. Apart from these, there has been use of cat friendly construction materials as well.
