Ahem.
Books? Are NOT compatible with all hands/eyes. Accessibility issues in terms of changing text size, changing font, changing page color and text color, having a screenreader incorporated and having images described are some of the REALLY SERIOUSLY VALID points That I’ve heard made concerning E readers and their advantages.
Can we stop having a pissing contest about books vs e readers and accept that they are two different and equally valid delivery methods of text, suitable for very different applications that happen to have a wide overlap? Each have their advantages and disadvantages and one need not supplant the other?
